PHP web applications and business portals built quickly on a mature framework with a deep ecosystem.
Start Your ProjectLaravel is a full-stack PHP framework with an expressive ORM (Eloquent), routing, authentication scaffolding, queues, scheduling, caching and a large first-party and community package ecosystem. It is designed for developer productivity and gets a typical business application running fast.
PHP runs a large share of the web, so hosting is cheap and widely available and the talent pool is large. The trade is that code quality varies enormously across PHP projects, and a Laravel app needs the same discipline as any other to stay maintainable.
Suitability
And when it is not. Choosing the wrong tool costs more than any implementation detail.
In practice
Role-based portals with authentication, an Eloquent-modelled domain, queued emails and scheduled jobs.
Catalogue, orders and payment-gateway integrations where PHP hosting and the plugin ecosystem keep running cost low.
Upgrading, tidying and extending Laravel and older PHP applications in place instead of a risky full rewrite.
Considerations
Practical notes from running this in production.
Eloquent makes queries easy to write and easy to get wrong. Lazy-loaded relationships cause N+1 queries, so we check query counts on list pages and use eager loading deliberately.
Queues need a proper worker setup. Running jobs inline in the request path works in a demo and fails at load; we configure a worker, retries and a failed-jobs process from the start.
Framework upgrades matter. Applications left several major versions behind accumulate security and compatibility debt, so we plan upgrade steps rather than letting the app age.
Mass assignment and unvalidated input are the classic Laravel vulnerabilities. Validation and explicit fillable fields are part of how we write every endpoint.
