An AI assistant is planned. Until it is genuinely useful we would rather point you at the page that actually answers your question.
The language underneath every browser interface we build, written with the discipline that keeps it maintainable at scale.
Start Your ProjectJavaScript is the only programming language every browser runs natively, which is why every web interface eventually reduces to it — including the ones written in React, Vue or Next.js. The same language also runs on servers through Node.js, so one team can often work across the whole stack.
Frameworks come and go on a roughly three-year cycle; the language itself changes slowly and carries forward. Strong fundamentals — closures, the event loop, promises, module boundaries — transfer between every framework and are what separates a codebase that stays readable from one that becomes brittle.
Suitability
And when it is not. Choosing the wrong tool costs more than any implementation detail.
In practice
The logic inside React and Next.js components, where understanding the language itself decides whether the code is predictable.
Progressive enhancement of mostly static pages — menus, forms, filters — without shipping a framework to deliver them.
Working in existing plain-JavaScript applications, adding tests and types gradually rather than proposing a rewrite.
Considerations
Practical notes from running this in production.
Loose typing and implicit coercion cause a class of bugs that only surface at runtime; for anything beyond a small script we default to TypeScript.
The event loop means long synchronous work blocks every interaction on the page, so splitting work or moving it to a worker is a design decision, not an optimisation to add later.
Dependency count is the real maintenance cost — a handful of well-chosen packages ages far better than dozens of small ones nobody audits.
Browser support differs less than it used to, but features should be checked against the actual audience rather than assumed.
